The ABC's of AP World History - Due by June 7th
Specifics:
All poems must be titled "_ is for __________"
In addition to the title you must have at least eight lines of text.
Lines must have some sort of rhyming scheme to them.
It can be funny or serious, either way it needs to be appropriate.
It needs to be informational, and no incorrect information can be in the poem.
Pay attention to spelling and capitalization.
NEXT
Once you have your wording finalized, open up an actual PowerPoint slide. Do NOT just open an Google Presentation. You need to be in PowerPoint so you can change the orientation to Portrait. (AKA the taller way instead of the wider way) In PowerPoint you click Design, then Slide Orientation, Portrait.
AFTER you have changed the orientation, you need to copy and paste your text onto a slide. Make sure the formatting looks correct and then begin adding images/background colors.
Your visuals must be appropriate to the topics in your poem.
Visuals may be hand drawn if you have actual ability. Otherwise you need to use clip art, photos, or other electronic design tools.
FINALLY:

Everyone needs to look for news article that they can read, do a bit of additional research on and then present that to class. All I want you to do is find something you're interested in and think is important. You should read the entire article and then if you have additional questions or foresee additional questions from your classmates, try to find the answers to those questions. I'll want to see at least five bullet points of what you'll be telling you classmates about and an explanation of why you chose that specific story. Remember that you'll be sharing this with the class so you need understand what you're talking about.
Also to prevent you all from speaking on the same topic, please insert your name, the topic, and the link to the news source into the Google Doc below for your hour as soon as you have selected a topic. You are responsible for making sure you don't repeat topics.
